Back in April, I ran two girl-group classes — and honestly, watching my students improve was so satisfying. It gave me that real “teacher high” — like, yes, this is why I do what I do!
But to be honest, teaching girl groups was a bit too easy for me. This time, I want to work with singers who already have some solid skills — people who know they’ve got musicality and a good voice — and help you level up fast. We’re talking six focused classes to push you way up. 🎧 If you believe your voice has potential, send me a short recording. If I take you, that means I’m confident I can help you grow and shine. Don’t worry — I’m not here to teach forever. I just want to help you make the biggest progress possible in the shortest time. And if you’re ready for a challenge — there’s an international online competition at the end of the year. I’ve worked with this exam board for a long time, and if I think you’ve got it — we’ll go for it together. Let’s make it your big 2025 finale. #VoicePerformance #VocalTraining #SingingCoach #SingingClass #VocalCoach #StageConfidence #PerformanceSkills #SingWithConfidence #SingerLife #MusicCompetition #OnlineMusicChallenge #VocalGrowth #6WeekChallenge #VoicePower #LevelUpYourVoice #ANZCAMusic #SydneySinger #AJVocalLab #ConfidenceOnStage #VoiceGoals #ANZCA Wow… I Never Knew! Thank you.
Just realised Mosman Music Academy has so many 5-star ratings on Google — and honestly, I’m a bit blown away. I never really checked before because my focus has always been on the students in front of me — helping them find their voice, nail that tricky phrase, or feel confident in a performance. But today, reading through your kind words… I felt so grateful. Thank you to every single person who took the time to leave a review. You didn’t have to, but you did — and that means the world to me. Those stars aren’t just ratings; they’re a little reminder that what we do here matters. I was sitting in the studio one afternoon, playing all sorts of exercises on the piano as backings for my students during their lessons, when it suddenly hit me — why not put these on Spotify? That way, they (and anyone else) could practise anytime, anywhere, without having to wait for the next lesson. A few weeks later, AJ Vocal Lab was born. One of my students asked me: “Susie, why do you give these exercises away for free? Most people package and sell them.” My answer was simple: “Because sharing makes us all better.” If you’re worried that others learning from you will take away your value, it means you believe you only have a limited amount to give. A real teacher always has more to offer. My experience, skills, and exercises don’t diminish when I share them — they grow stronger when more people use them, practise them, and exchange ideas. I hope everyone who comes across AJ Vocal Lab can use their voice more effectively — and say something that truly matters. Our 4-Week Public Speaking & Charisma Workshop — Full of Fun, Confidence, and Star Power 🌟It happened again… spots for my 4-week Public Speaking & Charisma Workshop in Mosman disappeared almost as soon as I announced it! With only 4 places available, it sold out so quickly — proof that there’s a real hunger for learning how to speak with confidence and impact.
Over the 4 weeks, we covered everything from: 1️⃣ Using your voice to attract and hold attention 2️⃣ Speaking with rhythm, pace, and clarity 3️⃣ Structuring your talk so it’s confident and persuasive 4️⃣ Looking and sounding your best on Zoom 5️⃣ Handling unexpected “cue” moments without breaking a sweat 6️⃣ Stepping on stage and instantly commanding presence 7️⃣ Opening a short video with words that hook your audience immediately The atmosphere in every session was amazing — supportive, fun, and full of laughter. We practised, we played, and we saw real transformations happen in just a month. No “perfect English” required — it was all about finding your authentic voice, connecting with your audience, and leaving them wanting more. A huge thank you to the wonderful women who joined this round and made it so special. 💛 If I decide to run another in the future, you’ll hear it from me first — but be quick, because if history is anything to go by, it will be gone in a flash! Tiffany came to me many years ago. Back then, she was really off-key and had a very small vocal range.
But one thing I’ve always admired about Tiffany is her consistency. She shows up, works hard, and keeps improving—week after week. Her passion for music theatre and singing is infectious, and with her, I’m always happy to go the extra mile to help her get closer to her goals. Even when she didn’t get lead roles in her school musical, she didn’t complain or give up. No drama—just quiet persistence. Now she’s been invited to sing a solo at her Ravenswood Year 12 formal 💛🎤 I’m so proud of how far she’s come—not just as a singer, but as a young woman who keeps showing up, trying her best, and growing. Go Tiff 💪✨ #ProudTeacher #VocalJourney #StudentSpotlight #MosmanMusic #Ravenswood Honestly… I’m still buzzing! This round of our 40+ Girls’ Mandarin Singing Group sold out before I even had a chance to post it online. One moment I sent a few emails… next moment, poof — every spot gone!
And oh my goodness, it was FUN. We laughed, we sang our hearts out to those classic 90s girl group hits, and yes — we even got a little workout in without realising it. The energy in the room was unreal, and the smiles said it all. It’s more than just singing — it’s about feeling good, finding your voice again, and sharing that joy with a bunch of amazing women who love the same music you do. If you missed out this time, don’t worry — if I run it again, you’ll hear about it first. Until then… keep singing, keep smiling, and keep that inner pop star alive. 🌟 Feeling like the proudest teacher ever!open.spotify.com/album/3iWwvNdvQfVda0kz3bIubu?si=FESpIvDfSB-b0liF4_FwDA
My amazing student @maddiiflora just released her debut single Off With The Fairies — and it’s pure magic. Maddie blended her vocals, harp playing, songwriting, and love for storytelling into a piece that feels like stepping into a dream. Whimsical, emotional, and full of hidden meanings — it’s so uniquely her. Fun fact: “Off with the fairies” is an Aussie idiom — and Maddie turned that spirit into a whole world of music, layering harp, strings, flute, upright bass, guitar, and even wind chimes! So proud of you, Maddie! This is just the beginning. #OffWithTheFairies This morning, something magical happened!
My online student (who lives all the way in Victoria-we never have face to face lesson) showed up at my Mosman front door at 8am — holding flowers, gifts, and the biggest smile. She even wrote me a birthday card the length of a thesis! And thank goodness I happened to be fully dressed and had makeup on at 8am — otherwise, I might’ve given her a fright when I opened the door! Haha! Moments like this remind me how lucky I am to teach such kind, thoughtful students like many of you over the years. Either in Sydney, interstates or overseas… thank you for all your messages, food, presents and Love… #MosmanMusic #MusicTeacherLife #BirthdaySurprise #FeelingLoved |
