Missa di voce technique

“ Messa di voce” is an important technique that I make sure all kids can do very well.
It involves holding a sustained note and change volume gradually in crescendo or diminuendo. Emma is doing 1-4-1 here very well.

As they get more advanced some of them can do up to 15 in great details.

My students good voice is based on my very systematic training. Nothing is done by feeling when you build technique. That’s my philosophy. Everything has a strategy with susie.

I will never imagine life will be like this for singing exam

1. No more LIVE accompanist is needed
2. Now no LIVE examiner is needed either
3. Ringlight is in
4. You do your exam facing “your phone”
5. High speed WiFi is compulsory
6. Every singer needs an iPhone

You still need to have the charisma, Technique, musicianship and good voice to pull it off. And the teacher yells STOP every 5 seconds of your singing.

Something just never changes.

Gretel finally lets me post her

Gretel never lets me post her singing. See how amazing is she!!! My baby Gretel is finishing after almost 12 years with me too. I can’t believe she is off to Uni.

And after 12 years i said to her yesterday. Oh I didn’t know your hair is so blonde! Hahahahha I always think Gretel is a brunette. Susie is really getting old….

Gretel will always be my musical baby.
